Umeed meaning Hope in Gujarati and Urdu is a specialist domestic violence service for the black and minority ethnic community.  This service is a multi-lingual service.  We currently provide support in Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu as well as English.  This unique service includes support and assistance for victims of domestic violence, forced marriage and honour based violence including female genital mutilation.  We also provide a free immigration advice service.

We recognise that victims from the black and minority ethnic communities have their own unique set of needs which the Umeed service recognises and will address including victims who have recently arrived in the UK on the basis of marriage and who run the risk of deportation.
